Dr. Mark Planco's compassion for animals has been a life long labor of love. He earned both his undergraduate (1987) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (1991) degrees at the University of Florida. Dr. Planco received two prestigious national honors: The UpJohn Large Animal Proficiency Award, and a scholarship from the American Association of Equine Practitioners and the American Livestock Insurance Company. In addition to his doctoral work, Dr. Planco completed a surgical externship at Illinois Equine Hospital and a medical externship at South Florida's Calder and Gulfstream race tracks. Dr. Planco has treated large and small animals since 1991, and has been in Palm Beach County since 1994. Dr. Planco is a member of the Palm Beach Veterinary Society, American Veterinary Medical Association and the Florida Veterinary Medical Association.
